Toyota Agya Sale Starting July 2013



PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) is ready to sell cheap and environmentally friendly cars (LCGC) Agya which was introduced in September last year. Until now, Toyota claims to have pocketed up to 10,000 unit orders.

Certainty marketing is known after President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono signed Peratuan Government (PP) Low Emission Vehicle Program (LECP), includes LCGC regulations. Johnny Darmawan, President Director of TAM, said, now just waiting for derivatives regulation, including technical guidance and implementation of the relevant ministries.

"There will be no rules Secretary Prindustrian, roughly two months away-lah. Could be marketed in July," said Johnny told KompasOtomotif, last night (05/27/2013).

For the price, the previous Minister of Industry MS Hidayat explained that it was not mentioned on the PP LECP, but set on derivatives regulation, the Minister.

"There is never a matter of price. Regulation ministers, do not talk details. Rules I am sure it could be published in the first half," said Hidayat, recently.

Previously, the government through the Ministry of Finance (currently still led by Agus Martowardojo) had demanded that the maximum LCGC tag of Rp 95 million. However, this plan is not certain yet and has not been approved by the government. Pricing will be the responsibility of the Ministry of Industry.
