Subaru United States announced a recall of 47,419 units of production Legacy and Outback 2010-2013, Crosstrek XV crossover (2013) and Impreza (2012-2013). Cause called models - specifically the automatic transmission or a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) equipped with Audiovox remote engine starter (RES) causing the engine suddenly living alone without orders.
According to the Institute for Highway Safety and Traffic Lalul U.S. (NHTSA) reported by Reuters (07/03/2013), if the remote starter held the driver fall, will cause a command signal to the car to start the engine even if the start / stop button.
The condition is considered dangerous to the environment as the machine continues to produce carbon monoxide, especially when parked in a closed garage. Subaru spokesman admitted until the recall was announced, there has been no other reports of injuries or casualties due to this problem. Subaru immediately contact all owners of the new Su U.S. to replace the remote for free starting next April.
